Lyndale Avenue Car Park and Traffic Calming Scheme

Installation of new Grasscrete car park areas and traffic calming measures on Lyndale Avenue, Eastham.

Grasscrete offers significant structural advantages over traditional concrete and plastic methods of construction. For example, it’s lightweight and load bearing to 40 gross tonnes whilst having excellent drainage properties. In this instance, the grasscrete product was used for two car park overspill areas due to insufficient street parking on Lyndale Avenue.

This was the first scheme on our Wirral Term Service Contract where the Grasscrete product was used and following the success of this project, the same material has been incorporated into the design of other Wirral Borough Council schemes (Upton By Pass).  Traffic calming measures and appropriate signage were installed on Lyndale Avenue as part of the project.
